SDSU to end discussions with FS Investors over Qualcomm Stadium site

SAN DIEGO — Since the Chargers announced their departure for Los Angeles in January, much of the sports talk in San Diego has been focused on what’s next for the Qualcomm Stadium site in Mission Valley.

San Diego State made their position clear Tuesday afternoon, releasing a statement that announced that they will no longer engage in discussions with FS Investors, whose plans are to build an MLS stadium that would be shared by the SDSU football team.

SDSU would like to use the land for not only football, but also to improve the university as a whole, which they claim the current negotiations did not allow.
