Scoring runs is coming easy for the St. Louis Cardinals these days

ANAHEIM -- When a team is grinding to score runs, it can appear paralyzed when it doesn't score early, with each successive zero on the scoreboard sucking a little more oxygen from the area around the bat rack.

The St. Louis Cardinals have endured their share of those types of droughts in recent seasons, but lately runs have been coming down in buckets. The Cardinals' collective confidence is humming along on dangerous.

"Every year, there's kind of a different climate in the dugout," Matt Holliday said.
