CINCINNATI — Let’s get the other excuses out of the way first for the floundering Dolphins offense:
- A bad offensive line.
- A spotty ground attack.
- An inconsistent group of receivers outside of Jarvis Landry.
- The growing pains that come with trying to master a third different system in a four-year span.

None of these things are helping Ryan Tannehill right now, nor have they through much of his four-plus NFL seasons. The worst part, though, is that Tannehill still isn’t helping himself or the Dolphins overcome those issues with quarterbacking that regularly lifts those around him, which is something the league’s top-tier passers do.
