Romo suffers fractured collarbone, out for season

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered a hairline fracture in his left collarbone and will miss the rest of the season, owner Jerry Jones said Friday.

Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that the result of a CT scan Friday confirmed what was feared after Romo was forced from Thursday's 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers on the final play of the third quarter. X-rays were taken Thursday, but they were inconclusive.

The 35-year-old quarterback said the feeling he had after being sacked by linebacker Thomas Davis was "similar" to what he felt when he broke the collarbone in a Sept.
