Phil Mickelson was left disappointed with his performance in Augusta after missing the Masters cut for just the third time in 24 appearances.
Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion, was chasing a sixth major championship heading into the tournament but failed to make it past the second round.

"I don't know how to explain it," Mickelson said. "I just threw away a lot of shots.
"I just made a lot of poor shots in the wrong spot. This is worst I've managed myself around this golf course.
