LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said Saturday night that Les Miles will remain as coach of the Tigers, ending a week of intense speculation that he would not return.
"Les is our football coach and will continue to be our football coach," Alleva said.
Alleva'a announcement came less than an hour after LSU defeated Texas A&M 19-7 in Baton Rouge.
Miles was carried off the field by his players following the win.
"I have no idea," Miles said of his job status. "Only thing I can tell you is I enjoyed coaching this team.
