Marvin Harrison Jr.: I 'Trained to Play Football' Instead of Doing Pre-Draft Workouts

Ohio State star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is pegged as one of the top players in Thursday's NFL draft, but he made a head-scratching decision not to participate in the scouting combine or the Buckeyes' pro day.

While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Harrison explained the reasons behind his decision, saying he and his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, believed his best course would be to focus on getting ready for the 2024 NFL campaign.

"Just talking to my dad, we decided what's best for us: to prepare for the NFL season, not prepare for the combine or pro day or anything like that," Harrison Jr.
