We're almost there. The 142nd Kentucky Derby will be run Saturday evening at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., with post time set for 6:34 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on TV live on NBC, with undercard coverage earlier in the day on NBC Sports Network.
Last year, American Pharoah captured the Kentucky Derby en route to the first Triple Crown since 1978. Nyquist, trained by Doug O'Neil, who won the Derby and Preakness with I'll Have Another in 2012, is the favorite at 3-to-1 and hopes to follow in the same path.
