San Francisco 49ers safety Jimmie Ward was placed on the physically unable to perform list Friday due to a pulled hamstring.
According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Ward suffered the injury during a conditioning test Thursday. He is free to be activated at any point prior to the final roster cuts.
