Jim Craig’s 'Miracle on Ice' mask sold at auction, gold medal does not

The mask U.S. hockey goalie Jim Craig wore during the “Miracle on Ice” run at the 1980 Olympics sold at auction for $137,849.16, Yahoo Sports reported.

Meanwhile, bidding reached more $611,000 for Craig’s gold medal, but that item did not sell after a month-long auction at Leland’s because it failed to meet its reserve price.

Craig last summer tried unsuccessfully to sell a 19-piece lot of memorabilia for $5.7 million. In May, he put 17 items up for sale with the Long Island-based auction house.
