Jamal Adams' representation, Universal Sports Management, announced Thursday the 2017 first-round pick agreed to terms on his rookie contract with the New York Jets.
The Jets made Adams the No. 6 overall pick in the draft on April 27. He was a standout in three seasons at LSU, being named a first-team All-SEC player and a second-team All-American in 2016.
After Adams fell into New York's lap, Tim Rohan of TheMMQB.com noted the selection was celebrated within the organization and outside the league:
