The Giants entered Thursday night's tilt against the Dodgers three games back in the National League West and in need of a spark to turn around their sluggish second half.

Left-hander Matt Moore, San Francisco's biggest deadline acquisition, did his part to kindle the turnaround, coming within an out of throwing a no-hitter against the Dodgers. Corey Seager broke the bid with a bloop single to right field.
