A state district court jury in Houston awarded more than $53 million to the family of a construction worker who was thrown four stories to his death in 2013 while working on stadium renovations at Texas A&M's Kyle Field, attorneys representing the family said Thursday.

The lawsuit alleged that Angel Garcia, 28, was catapulted off the edge of a fourth-floor ramp at the College Station, Texas, stadium when a section of concrete fell onto the skid-steer loader he was operating for Lindamood Demolition of Irving, Texas.
