Dale Earnhardt Jr. backs half-brother in feud with stepmother Teresa

Dale Earnhardt Jr. stands with half-brother Kerry and against stepmother Teresa in the latest chapter of their family feud.

At stake: the right to use the Earnhardt name in ventures not involving the estate of their late father. Teresa Earnhardt is fighting in court to stop Kerry from using the name of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt.

Family members have spent years squabbling with Teresa, who is Dale's widow. Teresa married Dale in 1982, was his third wife and now claims ownership of his estate and exclusive use of his name.

Kerry is the son of Dale and first wife Latane.
