Fear not, Braves fans. The new SunTrust Park will still pay homage to Atlanta legend Hank Aaron.
A new statue will be created and ready to go when SunTrust Park opens in 2017, the team announced Friday, via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

There had been discussions as to whether the current statue at Turner Field would move to the new stadium or whether the city of Atlanta would claim the monument. The Braves and the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority clashed publicly Wednesday after Aaron and his wife, Billye, said they didn't want claim to the statue.
