The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released cornerback Alterraun Verner after three years with the organization, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times confirmed the news, noting the cornerback was set to make $6.5 million in 2017.
Verner appeared in all 16 games this past season but only started three, finishing with one interception and 16 tackles.
