Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington spoke to reporters Thursday about his July 9 arrest on a charge of improperly carrying a concealed firearm.

"I can't really say much on it," Washington said, per the Buffalo News' Matt Schneidman. "But one thing I can tell you is that I learned from my mistakes. ... I definitely thank God that it didn't turn into something more serious than what it was."

Police in Sharonville, Ohio, wrote in their report that Washington "reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle; just feet away from officers" outside of a waterpark and failed to inform the officers that he possessed the gun, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Bob Strickley.
