Sports Briefing | Pro Football: Giants’ Eli Manning Says Contract Will Not Be His Focus

Eli Manning said Monday that he was comfortable playing the 2015 season in the final year of his current Giants contract.

“I have never got too caught up with the contract stuff,” Manning said in a conference call with reporters. “I have a job to do, and that is to play football, and that is my only concern. The way I look at it is that I have one more year, and I am going to play that one more year and go from there.”

The Giants could negotiate an extension of Manning’s current contract, which is set to pay him $17 million in 2015.
