Roundup: Kershaw’s Scoreless Streak Hits 37 in Dodgers’ Win

Clayton Kershaw extended his scoreless streak to 37 innings with eight innings of two-hit ball, and Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run homer, leading the host Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Kershaw struck out seven, walked none and retired his final 15 batters while working on eight days of rest. His previous start was a three-hit shutout on July 23 on the road against the Mets in which he took a perfect game into the seventh inning. Kershaw, a three-time Cy Young Award winner, has not given up a run since Wilmer Flores’s run-scoring single for the Mets on July 3 at Dodger Stadium.
