Cavaliers 101, Celtics 93: Cavaliers Finish Sweep of Celtics but Lose Kevin Love to Injury

BOSTON — The Cleveland Cavaliers absorbed the losses of two starters, quieted a festive TD Garden crowd and, behind LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, swept the Boston Celtics out of the playoffs with a 101-93 victory on Sunday.

It was only the fourth time in the Celtics’ storied history that they were swept in a best-of-seven series.

The Cavaliers, who got 27 points from James and 24 from Irving, swept an opponent for the fourth time in franchise history, the first time since 2009. James, who played 46 minutes, also had 10 rebounds and eight assists, and Irving had 11 rebounds while Timofey Mozgov added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
