HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – Toledo stands in fourth place following the opening 36 holes at the Mission Spring Inn Spectacular on Saturday. The two-day tournament is taking place at the El Campeón Course (Par-72, 6,966 Yards) at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort and hosted by George Mason University.
The Rockets fired solid rounds of 294 and 290 and trail frontrunner No. 18 South Florida (288-280=568) by 16 strokes, second place Texas Tech (295-286=58) by three and third place Old Dominion (296-286=582) by two.
Sophomore Stephen Watts is leading UT at two-under par 142 (70-72) and is tied for fifth place.
