CLEVELAND, OH – Toledo topped all teams with 10 student-athletes making the 2016 Volleyball Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league office announced on Monday. A total of 78 student-athletes were named to this year's squad.
Lauren Bakaitis, Annie Beasley, Maggie Johnston, Maurissa Leonard, Mary O'Connor, Saige Thomas, Andrea Stephenson, Carly Townsend, Gracey Tuifua and Rachel Vidourek were selected due to their outstanding efforts in the classroom, as well as on the court.
This is the third-straight season Johnston and O'Connor have been honored with this award, and the second-consecutive year for Bakaitis, Beasley, and Thomas.
