Sprinters Make Big Strides in First Indoor Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Toledo women's track & field team opened its 2023 indoor season at Michigan's Wolverine Invitational on Saturday with the sprinters getting the year off to a good start. Freshmen Khamani Jones and Laryah Worthy each took runner-up in their respective events to lead the Rockets. Jones ran a 26.07 in the 200m while Worthy finished the 400m in 103.86

Sophomore Amara Okpalaoka matched her career-best of 11.29m in the triple jump and finished fourth, while sophomore Sydney Caddell finished sixth (9.81m) in her first attempt at the event.
