TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team hosted Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon and fell to the Bearcats by a score of 71-60 at Savage Arena.
It was a tale of two teams to begin the game, as the Bearcats knocked down five of their first seven shots and the Rockets missed six of their first seven to find themselves in an early 14-2 hole. Toledo found its shooting stroke later in the first half and pulled within two, 23-21, near the midpoint of the second quarter. Cincinnati caught fire from beyond the arc, however, made four consecutive three-pointers to push its lead to 14.
