TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior running back Peny Boone was voted "Ironman of the Game" following his performance in Saturday's 49-31 win vs. Western Michigan.
Boone rushed for a career-high 211 yards and two touchdowns, the second straight week he set a new career benchmark in rushing yards. Boone's performance was the 37th 200-yard rushing game and the 19th best by a Rocket in program history. He accumulated the bulk of his yardage in the fourth quarter, rushing for 132 yards in the final period. The Detroit native is the fourth FBS player to have a 200-yard rushing game and the first MAC player to reach that benchmark.
