TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo senior Pawit Sornlaksup has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, as the conference released the men's tennis postseason awards on Thursday. Additionally, head coach Al Wermer was named MAC Coach of the Year after leading the Rockets to back-to-back MAC Tournament Championship titles.
Sornlaksup is one of three Rockets to earn postseason distinction from the MAC this year. Sornlaksup was named First-Team All-MAC for a third consecutive time and joined by senior Marko Galic as a first-team selection, while junior Hanamichi Carvajal was named Second Team.
