TOLEDO, Ohio – For the first time since 2019, the Toledo softball team will begin its run in the Mid-American Conference Softball Championship. No. 4 seed Toledo (24-21, 14-10 MAC) will face No. 5 seed Central Michigan (16-31, 13-12 MAC) in Game 1 of the double-elimination tournament at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio on Wednesday, May 8 at noon. All 10 games of the tournament will be streamed on ESPN+.
The MAC Softball Championship returns to Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio after the venue received a $1.47 million renovation, including LED lighting, a perimeter fence, and installation of two turf fields.
