TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo's Madison Medalle and McKenna Schultz have earned their first Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors. Medalle was named Offensive Player of the Week and Schultz was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Medalle scored a pair of goals and assisted on a goal to secure Toledo's 3-0 victory over Detroit Mercy on Sunday afternoon. She broke a scoreless tie late in the first half off a pass from McKenna Schultz to give Toledo a 1-0 halftime lead. Medalle then doubled the Rockets' lead in the 63rd minute before she fed teammate Grace Turski the last goal in the 82nd minute.
