TOLEDO, OH – Junior wide receiver Cody Thompson was unanimously voted the Iron Workers Union No. 55 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in the Rockets' 31-17 victory over Central Michigan on on Oct. 22.
Thompson tied his career high with seven catches for a game-high 122 yards and a career-best four touchdowns against the Chippewas. He was credited with a 34-yard touchdown reception and an 11-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter, as well as a pair of 16-yard scoring receptions in the third. Through Toledo's seven games, Thompson has recorded 844 yards receiving and nine touchdown catches, the 14th- and tied for third-highest totals in school history in a single season, respectively.
