A week earlier, just after closing a deal with Toledo, Boggess — who spent the past three seasons at Monmouth University in New Jersey — hopped on a plane to meet with her new team.
The 42-year-old live wire wanted the players to feel her energy and know that she wanted to coach them (“Toledo chose you and I’m choosing you”).
