TOLEDO, Ohio - Freshman Athena Welsh will represent the Rockets in the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif. on Saturday, June 24.
Welsh is scheduled to compete in the Graden of Life SPORT 3,000-meter steeplechase at 2:24 p.m. local time.
Welsh took second place in the event at the Jesse Owens University Classic with a time of 10:29.46. Her time was good for a Mid-American Conference Championships qualifying time.
In the MAC Championships, Welsh placed sixth in the 3,000m steeplechase to earn three points for the Rockets.
