Why Jamie Dixon still believes TCU can keep up with the Big 12's best amid late-season skid

FORT WORTH -- Ask TCU basketball head coach Jamie Dixon when March Madness begins for his team each season, and he'll be quick to give "November" as the answer.

While the Horned Frogs' mentality all season has been one of urgency, though, it's an entirely new ballgame -- at least in terms of NCAA tournament -- when the team faces Shaka Smart's Texas Longhorns on Saturday in Austin.

Neither team, despite the competition faced in an elite Big 12 Conference, is a lock for the tournament entering the regular-season finale at Frank Erwin Center. Both TCU (18-12, 6-11 Big 12) and Texas (16-14, 8-9 Big 12) range from 9 and 11 seeds, respectively, to being left out altogether in the latest bracketology updates released on Thursday.
