It looked like Patrick Mahomes II was going to be picked off for a second time.
But, then the amazing happened. Mahomes’ deep ball was picked off for a split second by Texas cornerback Holton Hill. But, Devin Lauderdale delivered a crushing hit, causing the ball to pop up in the air where Jakeem Grant was waiting.
Grant caught the ball on the fly and in stride and took it 35 yards into the end zone, completing the second end of what somehow turned into a 65-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes — instead of an easy interception for the Longhorns.
