In a tough blow for Texas Tech's offense, right guard Justin Murphy suffered a season-ending knew injury, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
Murphy will miss the rest of the season. He was a key part of Tech's offensive line, which has given QB Patrick Mahomes ample time to pick apart defenses this season.
Tony Morales was chosen to start in Murphy's place against Iowa State, and Kingsbury had mixed reviews on his performance.
"Still a little rusty, but I love the effort he plays with, both those brothers really play with incredible effort" Kingsbury said during his Monday press conference.
