Every decade, or every few decades, Texas Tech circles back around to North Carolina State as a non-conference football opponent.
On Tuesday, the two programs announced a two-year contract for games Sept. 17, 2022, at NC State and Sept. 18, 2027, in Lubbock.
Though the two teams have played only five times with the Wolfpack winning four, the series has had its notable moments: One game heralded an imminent breakthrough for the Red Raiders. Another ended on a last-play touchdown pass. The Red Raiders faced a top-five draft pick

Tech 54, NC State 7 in 1952: Tech was 2-7-1 and NC State 3-6 going into a Nov.
