Texas Tech was responsible for one of the most interesting statistical anomalies of the 2015 season.
The Red Raiders averaged 59.2 points at Jones AT&T Stadium last season -- and still lost two home games. Tech gave up 55 points to TCU and 70 to Oklahoma State.
After finishing 126th of 127 FBS teams in total defense, Tech is again looking at ways to get better -- and trying to be realistic.
"The offense is the offense," sophomore defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko said. "With the defense, we're putting together the pieces together bit by bit. You're not going to have a Picasso in one day.
