The Texas Tech lineup, once again, was too much for Western Illinois to handle.
After lighting up the Leathernecks for 15 runs off 13 hits on Friday, the Red Raiders scored 13 runs off 17 hits in a 13-5 victory over Western Illinois Saturday afternoon in Starkville, Miss.
Hunter Hargrove, who nearly hit for the cycle against the Leathernecks (0-2) on Friday, got Texas Tech (3-0) on the board first.
His single to center field brought Grant Little home who reached first on a fielding error and later advanced to third off a wild pitch.
Hargrove later scored as Zach Rheams reached first on another fielding error.
