I asked Keenan Evans to analyze his play so far back in December.
The junior guard grinned and shook his head, not sure what to say.
So I changed my question: “How would your mom describe your game?”
Keenan’s mom, Shantell, was a four-year starter for the women’s basketball team at Arkansas-Pine Bluff and was an all-SWAC standout.
And it was Shantell who did most of Keenan’s basketball training when he was younger.
She’s also one of his first phone calls after a game.
So seeing his game from his mom’s point of view is easy for Keenan.
