College basketball players aren’t lacing up their Converses anymore.

Instead, there’s a battle of sorts between Nike, Adidas and Under Armour, to name a few as to what shoe players choose to wear.

During Tubby Smith’s time at High Point University in North Carolina, it was simple.

Lace up the All-Stars and get buckets.

While Smith was at High Point, the Panthers averaged 73.6 points per game.

The highest scoring average for a single season across the country hasn’t been that high since reaching 74.2 points in 1995.

Until 2014, the national scoring average hadn’t seen the 70s since 2003.
