Alvin Jones has seen his brother go down before.
Aaron Jones, UTEP’s leading rusher and receiver on the season, had to be helped off the field toward the close of the first half and was carted into the locker room.
Aaron sported a boot on his left foot and was on crutches for the final half.
“I hate seeing that,” Alvin said. “When he was in high school and got hurt, I was crying. But, it’s college now. I’ve got to play through it. He’ll be alright.”
Immediately following the Miners’ 69-20 loss to Texas Tech in Jones AT&T Stadium, coach Sean Kugler was still unsure about the specifics of Aaron’s injury.
