Tech’s Grant makes
AP All-Bowl Team
Texas Tech receiver Jakeem Grant was named to The Associated Press All-Bowl Team released Tuesday for his performance in last week’s Texas Bowl.
The senior from Mesquite Horn had 10 catches for 125 yards and three touchdowns in the Red Raiders’ 56-27 loss to LSU at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Grant’s performance in his career finale brought his season totals to 90 catches for 1,268 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Grant was among the 14 offensive players, 12 defensive players and two specialists honored on the All-Bowl Team.
One of the two running backs was LSU’s Leonard Fournette, who rushed for 212 yards and four touchdowns and caught a 44-yard TD pass against the Red Raiders.
