On Sunday, former Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville announced his resignation from Cincinnati following his 4-8 season.
Overall, Tuberville was 29-22 in four seasons as the Cincinnati head coach.
Tuberville was 20-17 as the Tech coach.
This season, Tuberville signed an extension with Cincinnati initially running through 2019.
Tuberville released the following statement on his resignation.
"After much thought and reflection, I have decided to step down and resign from my position here at the University of Cincinnati," Tuberville said in a statement through the school. "I want to thank the board of trustees, the administration, the fans and the University for these last four years.
