KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Death, taxes and Kansas basketball.
The Jayhawks already have a row of 12 regular season conference titles dating from 2004 to 2016. A 13th could be added to the trophy case come March as Kansas, once again, has been chosen as the preseason favorite by conference coaches.
To put this feat in perspective — the Jayhawks have won more conference titles than they’ve lost home games (nine) under coach Bill Self.
“This time of year it’s easy to get caught up in (the expectations),” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “But I think our guys have been around enough and our newcomers have talked to the older guys and they know all this hype and all this talk really doesn’t mean anything.
