The Texas Longhorns entered the Big 12 Tournament as the five-seed and needing to win it all to play in the NCAA Tournament.
And in true Augie Garrido fashion, the Longhorns did just that to keep their season going.
It started with a tight, 2-1 win over 4-seed Texas Tech on Wednesday, as Parker French threw a complete game eight-hitter. French struck out six and walked one in his nine innings of one-run ball against the Red Raiders.
Next up for Texas was 8-seed Baylor, who were fresh off a big upset win of the regular season champion TCU Horned Frogs.
