TULSA, Okla. – The RPI system is broken.
The Big 12 had three teams in Omaha last season.
Now, they aren’t likely to even get three teams into the NCAA baseball tournament when the regionals are announced Monday.
The Big 12 only has two teams in the top 70 of the flawed rankings.
So despite last year’s success in the tournament, only TCU and Oklahoma State will represent the Big 12 come Monday.
They are ranked No. 7 and No. 10, respectively. The Frogs despite losing both games at the Big 12 Championships, will more than likely get a national seed.
