As a starter Sunday, he might have been even better.
Moreno pitched six shutout innings and Bryant Burleson smacked a two-run homer as Teas Tech defeated Texas 5-0 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Dominic turned in his longest outing of the season, pitching six shutout innings and giving up six hits while striking out seven. Morneo’s only other start of the season – where he went five innings – came on March 22 after Dylan Dusek was scratched just before game time against Oklahoma.
