Mark Osler, formerly of the Baylor Law School faculty, is a professor of law at the University of St. Thomas Law School in Minnesota. He is a former federal prosecutor whose work has confronted the problem of inflexibility in sentencing and corrections.

From 2000 to 2010, I was a season ticket-holder for Baylor University football. Those were some dark years, including the 2001 homecoming game against Texas Tech in which Baylor was down by more than 40 at halftime, and then the homecoming queen was booed for wearing Tech colors.
