BATON ROUGE, La. – In the first meet of the indoor season, the Texas State track and field team recorded a strong showing with 37 top eight finishes at the Purple Tiger Invitational in the Carl Maddox Field House. Five individual and one relay team placed first on Friday as well.

Senior thrower had an impressive season opening performance for the Bobcats. She won the shot put with a personal record distance of 15.
