WACO, Texas – Senior Pippa Carr posted a pair of victories to lead the Texas State women's tennis team on the opening day of the ITA Texas Regional at the Hurd Tennis Center on Thursday.
Carr will play eighth-seeded Sarah Dvorak of Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Friday after posting a pair of victories on Thursday. She dropped the first set in her opening match Alejandra Tamayo Gomez of Incarnate Word before coming back to win the match 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. In the second round, she won a 6-2, 7-5 decision against Alejandra Heczey of North Texas.
