Triceps issue doesn't concern Yu Darvish, wants to pitch in the All-Star Game

CLEVELAND -- Yu Darvish, who will start Wednesday, said his bullpen on Monday left him with no concerns about the triceps "tightness" that led to his departure from his last start. Darvish threw an 18-pitch bullpen session a day later than usual and had no issues.

"I wanted to see how I'd feel, whether I'd be worried or confident," Darvish said through an interpreter. "I felt fine."

Darvish threw just 88 pitches while allowing two hits in seven shutout innings at New York on Friday. He walked none and struck out 10. It was just the fourth time in his career he had no walks and reached double figures in strikeouts.
